The first minibus that has this technology is already in Parque O’Higgins, it is 100% electric and has a capacity for 12 people. At the moment it will be in the pilot phase until March, to analyze the user experience.
According to FR Group insurance brokers, Chile is being a pioneer in electromobility and even more so with autonomy, which is already being reflected in public transport. The coverage for this type of transport protects the bus against different risk exposures; partial damage, total loss due to malicious acts, accident damage to the transported passenger and damage to third parties that may be affected by accidents. “The technical characteristics and particularities of these buses generated a new need, which we responded with policies and coverage that go beyond the standard,” highlights Francisco Rodríguez, general manager of FR Group.
