This is the second disbursement after the explosion that occurred in 2018.

In April of last year, the German Sanatorium suffered a gas leak that caused an explosion that left one of the clinic’s three buildings uninhabitable. Three people died in the accident and more than 46 were injured. Before the first 60 days, the medical center received an advance of US$ 8 million to be able to activate and support the clinic’s reconstruction plan, not only to be able to reduce the costs of lost profits – which covers the income and/or extra costs that they ceased to be perceived as a product of the event-, but rather because of the critical and strategic nature of the clinic for the South Zone of Chile.

Last Friday, an additional $7.5 million was paid, completing the total payments. FR Group insurance brokers was the broker that designed the German Sanatorium insurance program and who managed the delivery of the resources with the companies HDI and Mapfre. Jaime Risopatrón, commercial manager of the brokerage, evaluates the entire process positively. ‘Closing a case of this magnitude in 10 months is a real success and exemplifies the robustness of the insurance program, which made it possible to cover physical damage costs of US$ 9 million and lost profits of another US$ 6.6 million.’ /p>
